Enhancing the energy efficiency of the building was another fundamental guideline of the project, treating this public building as a benchmark for an exemplary approach to the environment and carefully controlled energy consumption.
The design of the external insulation system was assigned to Ivas spa (another company of the IVAS Group), a leading Italian company in the fields of insulation coatings (TermoK8) with over thirty years of experience.
When calculating the heat transmittance of the perimeter walls, special care was paid to correcting thermal bridges
by means of special coating solutions composed of supports, brackets and special plates attached to the new facing.
The solutions offered by Aliva and Ivas operate in synergy to reinforce, in terms of eco-sustainability, the combination of energy saving and environmental impact. The new brick skin protects the cladding enhancing its performance. The green one, with its deciduous essences, gives shelter against solar radiation during the summer, and allows the light and heat to enter during the winter.
