The Ventilated Facade system is a high transpiration wall protection system which allows the humidity created within the building to spread externally without any obstacles or barriers whilst keeping the walls and the insulation panels dry and in ideal conditions for insulation and protection.

Permeability

Since rainwater and frost are among the main causes of building deterioration (along with atmospheric gases), perfect protection of the wall structures is a remarkable achievement, also from the building maintenance point of view.
Research carried out in Northern European Institutes has shown that a Ventilated Facade with external face panels of 60x60 cm installed with open joints approximately 8 mm thick allows for minimal water penetration, even under conditions of constant wind.





Waterproofing

The Ventilated Facade also permits proper thermal insulation, not merely in compliance with legal requirements, but also without the defects that generate condensation and mould, sources of imbalance amongst the components and the cause of cracks and peeling of parts of the facade.
