The project, in the context of the Call: ‘Energy’ within the Horizon Programme, aims to develop an innovative way to integrate different technologies and interdisciplinary approaches in order to achieve an ambitious multi-benefit goal whose guiding principles are:
Environmental sustainability and energy efficiency
Safety
Social and economic sustainability
Safety
Social and economic sustainability
The project involves partners from all over Europe, with complementary skills and standards of excellence in their respective fields, in particular energy efficiency (advanced systems for building envelopes, thermal insulation, HVAC, RES systems, etc.), securing the safety of buildings, and the social and economic sustainability of projects for building restoration and technological retrofitting.
The aim is to carry out a project in a locality within the European Union, which will consist of an in-depth renovation of a building that is typical of the European building landscape, and in particular the Mediterranean region, with a focus on energy efficiency, aesthetics and resistance to earthquakes.
Aliva will make available to the team its skills in the field of building envelopes and the design of structural components in aluminium alloys. Hence the team will be working with Aliva’s technical department and R&D division in the development of innovative solutions for façades that guarantee the highest levels of energy performance, while at the same time ensuring that the structures themselves are earthquake-proof.
