SYSTEM ALI Q
OBJECT An advanced work of engineering and architecture in a highly seismic area: the new Hospital Regional de Ñuble in Chillán represented for Aliva
a major technical challenge, met with tailored solutions. The project encompassed the
design of the entire system and the opaque building envelope,
supply and installation of the rainscreen system, built using the
custom ALI Q substructure, specifically developed to comply
with Chile’s strict seismic regulations. The system also passed particularly stringent technical tests, ensuring maximum safety, strength, and durability.
The cladding was carried out using
nom. 24" by 48" porcelain stoneware slabs, covering a
total surface area of 95,000 SF, resulting in a solution that combines
contemporary design with high performance. A project that, beyond its technical value, also carries symbolic significance: it is the
southernmost project ever completed
by Aliva. A further testament to the company’s international identity and its ability to adapt to any design challenge.
