OBJECT A cutting-edge university campus looking toward the future, located in one of Bolivia’s most dynamic and fast-growing cities:
the new headquarters of the
Universidad de Univalle in Santa Cruz is an ambitious project
where architecture, technological innovation, and performance come together.
Aliva managed the
integrated design of all ventilated façade systems
and defined the
cladding schedule (abaco), providing a comprehensive mix of tailor-made solutions:
Ali K20 substructure, a
custom substructure dedicated to the installation of metal meshes,
and the
Alu.covering ventilated façade system with extruded aluminum cladding.
In a tropical climate context, characterized by
high humidity and strong environmental stress,
the choice of materials and substructures, all made from
EN AW-6060 T6/T64 aluminum alloy (AlMgSi),
required careful engineering.
In particular, the use of Alu.covering – its
first application in Bolivia – demonstrates the system’s
ability to adapt to harsh atmospheric conditions while ensuring
performance, durability, and aesthetic impact.
With this project, Aliva strengthens its international presence in the
university building sector,
offering
multidisciplinary expertise and tailor-made solutions for next-generation ventilated façades.
