In the heart of the Republic of San Marino, the oldest in the world, the prestigious San Marino Outlet Experience project is born: a modern design with a strong impact and personality dedicated to the most famous luxury brands in the world, in a unique location.
The complex, designed by the One Works studio with innovative technologies and eco-sustainable materials, fits with full respect into the surrounding environment:
compliant with the BREEAM protocol, one of the most established international certification standards for sustainable building, it also features an integrated photovoltaic system capable of generating over 300 MWh per year.
Aliva worked in close synergy with the design studio: from the development of the executive project of the facade architecture and every construction detail, to the construction of over 32,000 sqm of walls and claddings, consisting of 11 different types, for a total number of 34,000 panels laid and over 5,500 man hours spent on design activities and on-site project management.
The complex integrated BIM design of all building envelope systems made it possible to resolve all the nodes and interference between the countless customized construction elements that have been produced and installed.
The facades are fully integrated into the landscape thanks to the choice of construction materials and colors that reinterpret, in a contemporary vision, the history of San Marino architecture and a territory declared “World Heritage Site” by UNESCO.
The materials, such as Vicenza stone and metal, characterize the different façade elevations and are articulated through multiple holes, reliefs and patterns: they create not only movement and lightness of the geometries, but allow natural and artificial light to vibrate the facade in all its complexity, both outside and inside. The peculiarity of the project is the three-dimensionality of the facade modules which gives a unique and original elevation and movement to the envelope.

The construction of the San Marino Outlet Experience is expected in 2 phases and will open its doors in June 2021: the first phase from 17,000 sqm will be followed by an expansion of the surface to 25,000 to increase the offer up to 130 shops, food terraces, meeting lounge areas work areas and playgrounds for families.
The architectural project, integrated into the landscape of the historic Mount Titano, won the architecture prize "The Plan Award 2016" as the best retail project.
