The façade produced for the Headquarter pharmaceutical multinational in Mexico City was designed by "VFO arquitectos", one of Mexico’s leading firms of architects. The project as a whole is highly innovative, and the combining of a detailed structural design with the spatial functioning, and the use of bioclimatic design with the benefits of cutting-edge technology, results in a smart and environmentally friendly Green Building. The façade was designed with a curved shape with three-dimensional lines, the purpose of which is to improve the thermal comfort of the users, reflecting the sun’s rays during the summer and allowing the entry of a correct amount of light in the winter.
Aliva designed over 370 types of special brackets, with different shapes and sizes for the construction of the curved three-dimensional facade. The cladding, in stainless steel wire mesh, is composed of large sheets (4x36 m) fixed to a structure, designed and supplied by Aliva, consisting of extruded aluminium runners and brackets attached to the main steel structure.
